At 10-12 years old, Viola, a Terrier mix from Kentucky, had dreadful skin issues. A victim of malnourishment and years lacking in essential medical care for allergies, her skin was thickening and her coat was scaly and patchy. A sarcoma in her front leg was identified and had to be removed, with the possibility that it would need to be amputated.
As you can imagine, it was simply the nicest people in the world who adopted her and diligently care for her. Yes, a little late to start the good life, but, thankfully, still probably years to gratefully enjoy it.
