Darling Mildred was picked up by animal control in rural South Carolina. At first look, she appeared to be about 12 years old but was likely closer to 7 years. Very sadly, this amazingly sweet angel had advanced cataracts causing nearly complete vision loss, a heart full of worms, and an emaciated body. This poor baby desperately needed our help.
Mildred endured months of medical treatment where she had to be placed on multiple antibiotics and preventatives, and then endure painful and dangerous injections to slowly destroy the worms in her heart, all of which can be deadly. Now, she is contentedly ensconced in her devoted and loving forever home.
