I’m Max, a 6-year-old black Lab mix with a heart full of love and a story you won’t believe. Before the big storm in North Carolina, I was a stray living near a campground. The kind folks there wanted to help me, but when they had to leave, the storm hit, and everything changed. The bridge to the other side of the river washed away, and I was stranded for two long weeks. I barked and cried, hoping someone would come, and finally, they did! Now, I’m safe, and I’m ready to start a brand-new chapter with a loving family. I’m a sweet boy who’s just a little shy at first, but once I feel safe, I love nothing more than connecting with people. I will soak up every bit of love you have to give. I’m also good with other dogs, so if you already have a furry friend, I’d be happy to meet them. I walk nicely on a leash and enjoy taking in the sights and smells on a peaceful stroll. After everything I’ve been through, all I really want is a family who will make me feel safe and loved. I promise to return that love tenfold, with loyalty and companionship!
