Maisy is sweet, adorable, quiet as a mouse and shy as a daisy. She’s a 9 year old 55lb purebreed Wheaten Terrier that was recently rescued from an awful fate of continuing to breed more litters of puppies in a puppy mill. After an estimated 9 years of neglect living in these cruel conditions, it is now finally time for her to live a happy loving life in her new forever home. Despite all she has endured, Maisy is so sweet and gentle. She will need a home that can be patient with her and support her as she slowly comes out of her shell. She would be fine in a home with other dogs and children and would benefit from a fenced in yard where she has space to explore and lounge at her leisure. Outside is definitely Maisy’s happy place. While she is still getting used to being on a leash, when she thinks no one is looking she will sniff around, prance in the grass and show that the puppy inside her is still there and just needs a little time and love to blossom. Over the past few weeks, Maisy’s foster family has loved seeing her make small steps to becoming comfortable in her environment, cautiously exploring the home, flopping down on her side when she’s relaxed and wagging her nubby cropped tail when she’s excited. This little lady is truly deserving of a family that can provide her with love, support and time. It’s clear she will be a sweet addition to her new forever home.
