Hi, I’m Daisy! My foster family calls me the “gentle giant,” but honestly, I’m really not that big at 86 pounds! I’m a beautiful 4-year-old 91 pound Great Pyrenees with a huge heart, and I’m hoping to find a family who will give me the time, patience, and love I deserve.
When I first came here, I was in pretty rough shape, but just look at me now! I’ve been doing so, so well, and I’m really starting to show everyone what a wonderful girl I am. I’m incredibly sweet, gentle, and loving, and I absolutely adore people. I’m also very food motivated, which makes me eager to please and a lot of fun to work with! I’m still learning and gaining confidence, but treats are definitely the way to my heart. 😊
I have a pretty wonderful balance of being a relaxed, easygoing girl while still enjoying adventures. I LOVE a good, long nap and am perfectly happy curling up somewhere cozy and taking it easy. But when it’s time to head outside, I’m always excited to explore! I enjoy being outdoors, taking in all the sights and smells, and getting some fresh air.
I’m house trained, quiet, and very well-mannered. In fact, I barely ever bark! I’m also a social girl and get along well with both people and other dogs. I’ve done a great job showing everyone that I can be a gentle and friendly companion.
Now, I should tell you that I’m a little sensitive. New people and new situations can feel a bit overwhelming for me at first, so I need someone who understands that trust takes a little time. If you’re patient and let me come out of my shell at my own pace, you’ll see my sweet personality shine through. Once I get to know you and realize that I’m safe, I will trust you with my whole heart.
I’m good with kids, too, although I think I would be happiest in a calm, peaceful home where I can continue to learn, build my confidence, and grow into the best version of myself. I’m not looking for a chaotic lifestyle—I’d much rather have a family who appreciates the simple things: relaxing together, going for leisurely adventures, enjoying the outdoors, and giving me plenty of love and reassurance.
I’ve already come such a long way, and I’m so proud of the progress I’ve made. Now I’m ready for the next chapter: finding my forever family. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving, quiet companion with a big heart (even if she’s not quiteas big as her nickname suggests!), I might just be the girl you’ve been waiting for.
