Oh hello, I’m Clementine — a 1-year-old, 13-pound Shih Tzu with a seriously cute face and a big heart that’s still learning to be brave. I came from a hoarding situation, so a lot of things in the world are still new to me. At first, I can be a little nervous when I meet new people or go new places, but if you give me a little time and patience, I warm up and my friendly, sweet side comes out. I’m good with other dogs and have a friend here named Callie who is looking for her own forever home too. I’m not the best on leash yet, but I’m working on it and just need someone who will go slow with me and show me that walks can be fun. I’m eager to learn and even more eager to feel safe. Everyone who meets me says I’m “SO cute,” and I’m hoping my new family sees past my shy moments and falls in love with the real me. I’m looking for a loving home that will give me the time to blossom and become the happy, affectionate little companion I’m meant to be.
