Amber is a stunning 7 month old, 45 lb purebred Golden Retriever puppy. She is truly delightful! Amber was surrendered to us after she was returned to her breeder for neurological issues. She has seen our neurologist, who is not sure of the cause of her neurological issues. Amber does not seem to have any vision but can hear. It takes her a bit of time to learn a space, but she adapted beautifully to her foster home. She is smart and has learned all about yummy treats, how to do small stairs, and how to walk on leash.
Amber loves other dogs but would need a home with a tolerant dog as she will sometimes accidentally walk into them. She does not let her impairment slow her down and is adorable to watch as she prances and romps in the yard. Amber is extremely loving and enjoys being pet and cuddled. She likes to play with her toys but is quite content to take a long nap too. This darling is crate trained, housetrained, and rides well in the car. She is very trainable and would love a home who can continue to devote their time to helping her navigate this disability. In return, she will show you how to enjoy each day.
Amber has seizures that are currently well controlled on medication. We will consider a foster to adopt placement for Amber to ensure it is the right fit.
