Hi, I’m Sugar Baby — a 1-year-old, 3-pound Chihuahua, and yes, I’m as tiny and cute as I sound. My world was turned upside down when I was suddenly dropped off at the shelter, and I’m still really scared and trying to understand what’s happening. New people, new sounds, new places — it’s a lot for a little girl like me. I’m going to need a patient person who understands that I’m just overwhelmed and learning to feel safe again. Even though I’m nervous, I will let you pick me up and I’ll curl up on your lap. Walking on a leash is confusing for me, so I’ll need someone willing to go very slow with me and help me learn at my own pace. No pressure, no rush — just steady love. I feel much more comfortable when there’s another dog around. A confident, friendly dog in the home would really help me come out of my shell and show me that the world isn’t so scary. If you have a gentle pup who wouldn’t mind a tiny shadow, I could be a great fit. I’m looking for a quiet, understanding home that will give me time, patience, and a lot of tenderness. I hope that home is yours!
