Abby Rose
Abby Rose, a 10-14 month old, 45 lb. tan and black Border Terrier/Aussie Mix, is nicknamed “wiggle butt” because she is always wagging her tiny tail. She is so sweet, friendly and cuddly, and she absolutely loves to snuggle. She has a very soft coat, perfect for petting, and her right ear always stays perked up just a little more than her left one, giving her that adorable, slightly lopsided look that is so endearing. She loves everyone she meets, and everyone who meets her immediately senses her inner beauty and gentleness and loves her right back. Some think her white terrier hair and mellow demeanor make her seem older than the true puppy she is, but those who spend time with her quickly realize that she is really just an old soul housed in a puppy’s body. She does have normal puppy bursts of energy a few times a day and she loves to run and play, but mostly she is very calm and serene, and she seems to genuinely and sincerely be grateful to finally be in a dog-adoring home. She seems to know that her days of loneliness and worry are over, and the appreciation and relaxation that comes from this knowledge are visible in her gentle brown eyes every time she looks at you. She is housebroken, is doing well with her commands, generally comes when called, and relishes the security of her crate or sleeping under a chair. She is known for rolling over onto her back to entice anyone nearby to give her a tummy rub, which she loves. She thoroughly enjoys being outdoors, and her favorite activities are sleeping on the doorstep or watching the birds, squirrels and chipmunks go by. The shepherd in her makes it hard for her to resist chasing small animals, so a cat-free house is a must, and a fenced-in yard or electric fence would be ideal so that she can safely continue her love affair with the great outdoors. She is learning that playing with children requires a little more restraint than playing with other dogs, so she would be best in a home without very small children. She enjoys riding “shotgun” in the car or in the backseat, too, often sticking her head out the window to let the breeze blow her ears in different directions, but she is also comfortable curling up and sleeping on the seat when the windows are down. She is ideal for the person, couple, or family looking for a loving and loyal canine companion, and the one who is fortunate enough to select her will find their dreams fulfilled in this grateful and snuggly gem.

Mocha
Mocha, a sweet, cuddly, funny, very well trained one year old, 14 lb., Canaan Dog/Rat Terrier mix is a real lovable girl, without the hyperactivity of a terrier. She loves her toys, even those bigger than her, which she likes to collect (along with a few other things) and keep in a tent in her foster home and is hilarious to watch. Her foster sister has taught her to retrieve and she is the fastest dog in the park. She makes friends quickly at the park and loves to play. She is very smart too…in days she learned to stay on the ground and not to jump on people or couches; to be comfortable when people or other dogs are entering her space; and to allow for treats to gently be taken from her mouth and given back. Despite her speed and quickness outside, she loves to come home and fall asleep in your arms, (or anywhere else on your body she plops down…see picture . She loves cuddling with the 11 and 13 year olds in her foster home. Housebroken, leash trained and very responsive to instruction, Mocha will help make her special family very happy and is an all-around great girl! Can’t you just see her in your life? Or lap?
