About A New Chance A New Chance Animal Rescue is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to rescue dogs in need of homes and match them to a warm, loving, safe and healthy environment. We do not have a shelter or facility and rely solely on foster homes to house our dogs, so every foster home is another life saved. All across the nation dogs are abandoned on the streets, abused at home, or simply turned in to shelters by people who can no longer care for them because of health, financial or other reasons. Many of these dogs are in shelters that are too small to keep taking in new dogs, so they are routinely euthanized, often inhumanely. Gathering dogs together in gas chambers to die or painfully placing a needle with drugs directly into the heart of the dog, called heart sticking, are the cheapest ways available to these facilities that have both a shortage of space and of money. We try to save as many of these poor sweethearts as we can. If you can help us by adopting, donating, or fostering, please do so right away. Once our dogs are in approved foster homes, they can experience the normal activities and routines of daily life, while getting the love and care many of them have never had. This gives them the opportunity for greater socialization and gives us the opportunity to get to know them better so that we can carefully match them to the best forever adoptive home.
